POLREGIO is the new brand of Przewozy Regionalne, the biggest Polish passenger rail carrier. It is related to changes that have taken place and will take place in our company. Formal name of the company, used in court registers, acts and corporate documentation, will not change.
Most of our connections are regional and agglomeration trains. They meet the transport needs of residents of most provinces in Poland. With POLREGIO you can get to your work, at the University, to school, doctor, shopping, office or to your family or friends. PolRegio also offers trains connecting neighbouring regions, which are attractive price alternative for other bus or rail carriers. Together with foreign partners we also cross-border trains to Belarus, Czech, Lithuania and Germany.
Our connections:
*REGIO – regional and agglomeration trains running within one province and between neighbouring regions, most of them stop at every station, only some of them are “speeded up” (stop at main stations only)
*interREGIO – fast train running between Łódź – Warsaw stops only at selected stations.
Timetable is set according to provincial government order. In the process of planning connections and determining the train frequency, organizers take into account financial abilities, citizens opinions and suggestions and technical and organization conditions. Together with provincial government we seek to create such a timetable, that will satisfy local citizen needs. Marshal office decides on which routes our train run, and how often.
You can check our train timetable and ticket prices on our website. Information about train timetable is also available on out helpline (+48) 703 20 20 20 (charge per minute 1,29 PLN)
The best way to buy our ticket is online or by mobile application. Tickets are also available at our ticket offices and at ticket offices of most rail carriers in Poland, in ticket machines and at our train staff. Attention! In our price list you will find charges for buying a ticket on the train. They are only applicable to assengers who board a train on stations where a ticket office is open. If at your station a ticket office is closed, you can buy a ticket without additional charges on board of the train. Remember to board the train using the first door and report to the train staff that you want to buy a ticket.
There is no need to print the ticket. You can only show it on your mobile device. The easiest way is to download it in PDF or HTML format – then during ticket control there’s no Internet connection needed.
POLREGIO has an agreement on accepting tickets with most regional carriers. However the range of accepted tickets and promotional offers varies. We encourage you to check the rules of mutual ticket acceptance with specific operators.
If the ticket office on the station you start your journey is closed, you can buy a ticket without any extra charges. However remember to board the train by first door and report a willingness to buy a ticket to the conductor immediately. In any other part of the train, you may be treated as a passenger without ticket.
If the ticket office on the station you start your journey is open, you can also buy a ticket in the train, but an extra charge will be added to ticket price. Fees are varied and depends on ticket type and the length of the journey. Price details cen be found here. Remember that you can buy a ticket even 30 days earlier before leaving. Not only at the ticket office, but also at a ticket maschine or online.
Disabled passengers and people with limited mobility (also travelers with bicycles) can board the train by any door and buy ticket during control.
Our passengers have many possibilities to low the costs travel. We have not only offers for our regular consumers, but also for those who travel irregulary. Information about local promotions you can find here. If you travel within one region, you should check our local and agglomeration offers. Travelling abroad you can also buy cheaper tickets – all international offers are listed here . You can also follow our website and social media profiles. We inform there about our “limited time offers”
Tickets for all our connections are sold on a given route, not for a specific departure time. Departure hour which is on the ticket is only for information. We are trying to adapt the train capacity to actual needs. Number of seats in specific trains is a result of rail traffic organizer decision (the provincial government), that instruct us to provide services in a province.
If you use a smartphone or tablet, we advise you to use Train Schedule app made by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe. You will get information about planned and actual hours of deprarture of POLREGIO trains and other carriers. You can download it for free from Google Play, iTunes, Windows Phone.
If there is no megaphone or electronic information board on your station, information about delays can be aquiered by phone (24). The numbers can be found on portalpasazera.pl
Our timetable is set to enable our passengers travel with changes on main stations. However in rail traffic, like on roads, sometimes difficulties happen and not always a train can wait for the delayed one. If your train is delayed immediately report it to the conductor on which station you want to make a change. Train staff will contact the traffic controller and inform you about possibilities to continue your trip.
Some of our vehicles and objects of railway infrastructure (stations, bus stops) are fully accessible to service passengers with limited mobility. However sometimes at some parts of your journey you will need help of our staff. We ask you to inform us earlier that you plan your journey on a given route.
